Calvin Klatt, Director and Chief Geodesist for the Canadian Geodetic Survey, is an expert scientist who works with a broad network of partners and collaborators with the goal of positioning Canada for success.

The Canadian Geodetic Survey, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), is the leading federal government agency in Geodesy, the scientific discipline that deals with the measurement and representation of the Earth, including its gravitational field, in a three-dimensional time-varying space. The Survey prides itself on being a client-focused agency providing the most advanced services to Engineers and Scientists in Canada.

Calvin previously served as the Assistant Chief Scientist to the Earth Science Sector of NRCan, Acting Director of the Office of the NRCan Chief Scientist, and as the Program Manager for the NRCan Earth Sciences Sector Public Safety Geosciences Program. Calvin has a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (U. Alberta), an M.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics (UBC) and a Doctorate in Space Science (York U).
